Very impressed by the vegan options and clear marking options on the menu (separate vegan menu table also available). was a relief to be in a pub and have more than a vegan burger. great to see vegan options clearly highlighted on the children's menu.
I'm sure there were some pretty healthy options on the menu, but our eyes just went for the mule food, and it was gooood! and such a pleasant surprise to find an “average pub” like this with such a choice of vegan options! service was also great! defo recommend. that said the cabinet of spining chicken carcasse on the way in was quite disturbing off-putting... hopefully with enough support of the vegan menu that will soon be a thing of pastness.
Visit them regularly here. it is a clean decent place with beautiful environment. and the beer is also excellent. veggie and vegan options are limited, but they make an effort and have a small vegan/vegetarian menu that they may have to ask as their not always at the table. if they like or used to like burger, I recommend the jack burger. comes with a pull-pork style grill jack bohnen and is delicious, definitiw not a compromise with a pet meat burger, its actually much better than most I eat. it comes with vegan shiny and fries and it is an excellent meal imo
The vegan options for dining are very limited around here, so it was nice to see somewhere making a bit of an effort. The food was alright, we shared a salad, onion rings and a saag aloo. The saag aloo seemed out of place on the menu, but was definitely the best part of our meal. For dessert we had the chocolate praline tart and the apple pie. The ice cream that came with them was coconut. Overall they were both ok, but the pie would have been much nicer with custard, (on the menu but not vegan).
