Oyummy Asian Bistro - Haverhill

Singapore noodles are the best vermicelli noodles I've had outside of a spring roll. I absolutely love this place!

The restaurant has some good options, but I was surprised to find that the Crab Rangoon didn't actually contain any crab. The egg rolls seemed to be filled mostly with cabbage. The service was decent but could use some improvement. If you're satisfied with an average experience, this place might work for you, but I would recommend trying somewhere else. However, it's worth giving them a chance.

It was difficult to come to a consensus on our experience at the restaurant as some in our group had a different opinion than others. We were very disappointed with the crab dip, as it contained no crab at all. The owner informed us that the dish only had cream cheese, which makes the name "crab dip" misleading. The egg rolls resembled cabbage rolls, as they were almost entirely filled with cabbage. On a positive note, the fried rice was enjoyed by everyone, and the pork dish was a hit. The herbal tempura was quite delicious, but I felt that the portion size was not in line with the price charged. Lastly, while our server was fine, I believe they would benefit from a bit more training in waitstaff skills. We do appreciate John for taking the time to come to our table, engage with us, and provide explanations. His dedication was evident.

Given the prices, I expected a better quality meal. I ordered the steak and chicken Hibachi and Scallop Hibachi dinner. Scallops, where something is over. But my biggest handle is chicken and steak. Chicken was boiled and dry. The steak medium ordered. That's good. Unfortunately, I took it out. Maybe they don't pay attention to quality when you do. I also got the lobster rapture. That was nice. Would recommend this role if you are a sushi person.

Sushi was 5/5, but service was more to be desired. I think they are still transitioning into full service after all the 'to go business they did throughout covid
