Lady K's Southern Comfort - Haviland

I had Thanksgiving and the food was absolutely amazing. The greens were cooked for perfection and the pulled pig was tasteful and delicious. I will definitely order catering from here again. Thank you. Ms. K for the holiday so special.

Lady K aka Mama! K! Since the first day she was opened almost 7 years ago, I went to her restaurant. The food, the service, the accommodation is over 5?. She'll do anything to take you. She goes beyond and beyond for her customers and their children too, they work hard! So if you go in there and see her son Seany works extremely hard. Tell him he's holding the good work! Shoot him positive words of encouragement and get some food! Below are two meals I love from Mama K! Everything on the menu is worth it.

The food is good. Collards a little salty. But could only be that approach. But for 3 meals at over $70 I would expect more than one tablespoon (literal) of macaroni and cheese. I had soul food places where I spent less and had enough for 2 or 3 people in a meal. Empanades burned, and WAY too sharp and I love it. And the whistle? Don't know. I'm definitely disappointed. I can't say I'd never go again to give another shot because I wanted SO to love this place. But I won't run.

Where do I begin with my experience with Lady K and her soul-filling business. I literally called her two days before my mother's birthday, explained that I wanted to make her birthday special by eating her favorite food for her and my family for lunch after the church on Sunday. If you've been here, you know she's closed on Sundays. Ms. K only opened to fulfill my wishes to make my mother smile and delivered the best soul food we had in this way. My mother and sister are two of the hardest green critics you ever want to meet and they LOVED their greens. Everything was seasoned to perfection and mouthwater. I really appreciate you coming through during this time and you have won customers forever! Many blessings on your business always!

I dread having to write this review, because all I have wanted so badly was to come in and enjoy this place. Unfortunately, they just can?t seem to honor their time. I have now been here twice; both on consecutive Wednesdays, supposedly the first day of their business week, once at 3:00, when they were supposed to open, and once at 4:00, an hour after they were supposed to open. What a shame.
