We just came from Ohelo Cafe and had a wonderful meal. From the moment we arrived, everyone was kind. Our server was great and everything we ordered was delicious. My husband and I order more and more food than we can eat because we love tasting different flavors. We had the house salad, probably enough for 3 or 4 people and the Burrata appetizer, who was very tasty. We had a margarita pizza and the seafood pasta. We have a pizza box and 2 full plates, but it was certainly worth it. If you see how much we spent, that's just because of the top. All the food plus a delicious margarita and a side of Baguettes that ended up to 4 large pieces came to less than $100. Thank you for a fabulous food!!
Wow this unexpected gem was amazing! What was not amazing was how my family observed how the employees were treated by customers. People were rude and justified and occasionally ridiculous. Two of the people who wrote reviews about the ?rude tonight? We were together waiting and watching their whole interaction. People came about 12 minutes before their reservation. The hostess explains that they are still waiting on a table to open, and it looked like it was about 20 minutes. The man was annoyed and argued that they had a reservation and should wait?t, and they explained that they were early, so it would probably be only about 5 10 minutes behind their reservation time. When she said she was sorry, he reacted. Because it seems to me that you're just insane? She just did her job. He was so rude to her (I would have cried and announced) that another employee came out and told them they would not serve her tonight for his verbal abuse. Then they came here and wrote two bad reviews. ? I was impressed by the way they stood by their principles and stood for their server! She didn't do anything wrong and was still nice, despite the way he treated her! Please remember being friendly. The staff was over and over nice to us just because we treated them like people. There was only one server and she was blurred a little patience goes a long way! We found the staff friendly and friendly. Bonus the food was incredible! Seriously delicious! The cauliflower appetizer was amazing, the pizza crust tasted like a kind of puff pastries, and the desserts were for dying! We dug too fast to pictures of the desserts (also the imagination baked Alaska), but it was the best meal we had on the island. People seem crazy about the masking and vaccination requirements. I found it refreshing to find a facility that takes care of more public health than to make an additional dollar. It was really nice to see a place that takes it seriously when everyone seems to want to do so? We usually eat ONLT outside, so when we had to eat somewhere and our options were extremely limited to know that all the interiors were vaccinated and the servers (and some customers) wear masks, helped our fear level a bit. If the requirements you annoy, please remember that the people you encounter are likely to be? not those who made the rules (intentionally to protect you and those around you), and please do not take it on them! These are nice people who will be reworked and in the service industry please be friendly!
The sauce in the seafood pasta was phenomenal! For $36, however, I have only 4 shrimps and a small bite of fish to hardly mention it as seafood pata. The Pesto pizza was simply enough pesto to see a shade of green, but not taste. Both pizzas bread tasted like dry and crumbling when you picked it up to resemble unleashed bread for ceremonies, I think they forgot to order yeast. COVIDATION Disclaimer: I understand that the pandemic is getting better, this is the only place on the island that we still need masks and vaccine card proof...but someone put a mask on the entrance and then take it from 2 feet later, as all tables right next to the door make no sense. Seats that all sit together and accumulate different parties on one side of the dining room also prevent a social dispute. ALSO, the cook hardly had his mask, NOSE and UPPER MOUTH on MY FOOD. If you want to enforce Kovid-19 standards, then make it fair and even. Not biased. We had to carry out the takeover that I respect to make their own Kovid rules, but at least your own employees have wearing masks when the customers are required and your customers are socially distant throughout the dining area!
We came in late on a Sunday and just got dessert to split between my wife and I. I recommend a reservation because this place has good food and the tables fill up fast. The employees were very friendly and the desserts we got we ordered the taster trio ? were all great! Of note: bring a mask and proof of vaccination Current as of 24 April 2022 . This is required, but as long as you have it the service, vibes, and food are amazing!
