I had a very impressive salad bowl (hardened rice, butter beans, potato salad etc.), which was all vegan and super filling (there are also some other vegan lunch options. Enjoy a coffee with oat milk and there are a few vegan cakes that look delicious. It is also dog-friendly with free Wi-Fi. Vegan food can be difficult to come in these parts so would definitely recommend this beautiful cafe. I noticed that some people come to ask about vegan options. The staff is also very friendly. Had sticky ginger cake and lemon drops cake. No oat milk, but there were soya for coffee.

During the stop in Hawes for a fast coffee found this place. We decided because the menu outside had a few vegan main meals, but we had eaten early, so just a drink really wanted. Once on the counter we noticed several vegan cakes including carrot and also a lemon drizzle, so we ordered our drinks and a piece of each. Both cakes were divine and the tea was good, served with soy or almond milk, while the decaffeinated coffee was just great. Of course we can't come to the wider food, but the cakes we tried were really excellent. The waitress told us that they were all made on the grounds and that the cook was vegan, so I would expect other offers to be of a similar excellent standard.
