Red Indigo - Hay-on-Wye

I was impressed by the incredibly fast service and the attentive, friendly staff at this restaurant. They offer great value with their authentic curries, and the dining menu is quite extensive. The atmosphere is upscale, making for a pleasant dining experience. What more could you ask for? I would definitely recommend it for dining in. While they don’t offer fruity lemonades or gins, their selection of unique spirits and a large wine list is excellent.

The staff were friendly, and the atmosphere was relaxed and quiet. The food was excellent and offered great value—what more could you ask for, other than perhaps more poppadoms? My fiancée and I visited for dinner on Saturday night, and we found it to be a calm and peaceful experience. Our order was taken and served quickly, and the staff were attentive to ensure we had everything we needed. The food was hot and delicious, with a good selection available for starters, mains, sides, and drinks. While the entrance might be a bit tight for wheelchairs, it could be manageable if you're near the front. Please note that they don’t take reservations, so it's first-come, first-served.

We were very pleased to find an Indian restaurant in Hay-On-Wye, and even more pleased at the fabulous food. The spicing is as good as in India. We highly recommend Red Indigo.

Forced here as others fully booked and we are not Indian food experienced eaters. We did have a friend with us with that experience and he stated food was excellent. My wife's omelette was a little rubbery. The night seemed unexpectedly busy but they fitted us in. My shandy had a strange taste to it, which I did not challenge and could have been down to the lager type but I don't know. Still recommend them as other dishes were very good.
