The Old Electric Shop - Hay-on-Wye

The building is beautiful and provided a very comfortable stay for us. The breakfast was delicious and kept us satisfied throughout the day. The coffee was served in takeaway cups, which wasn't an issue at all. While it is a bit more expensive than other local cafes, the quality of the food is excellent.

The restaurant features beautiful, fresh open sandwiches made with local ingredients. The outdoor seating is spacious, allowing you to enjoy a sense of privacy while observing the world go by as you sip your drink and nibble on your food. The staff is incredibly friendly and regularly check in to ensure that you’re enjoying your meal.

It’s a lovely place to eat with generous portions. We enjoyed breakfast there and appreciated the vegetarian option for a classic breakfast, which we liked very much. The traditional Welsh breakfast was also delicious.

Looking for a light lunch in the company of our dog. we were pleased that our four-legged friend was allowed and we ordered the salmon salad. absolutely amazing, a wonderful salad with a lot of taste and lots of care in preparation. add a big cup tee and a big cup latte and we had an excellent lunch and at a very reasonable price. the environments were merciful free from the modern kontrived you olde look. all clean, simple and unfussy! a return is guaranteed in our case! we will be back
