CJ's Central - Haymarket

Whilst looking for a quick coffee around Central on Tuesday night before my train, came across CJ's cafe. With about 10 minutes until they closed it looked like the only place to grab a brew without resorting to a 7/11 $1 coffee. As mentioned they were on the verge of closing, and there wasn't much food being displayed but there was a guy making a coffee for another customer, so I got in quick. CJ's uses Segafredo, which I've always felt was the Nescafe of Espresso. Either way, I couldn't afford to be too picky as options nearby at that time weren't great. Grabbed a large latte, at a very reasonable $3.50. I also grabbed a melting moments biscuit that was almost double the price of the coffee. The fist sips of the coffee weren't great. Tasted a bit burnt and a little sour - which I've always found with Segafredo coffee. Once I had a bite of the biscuit, the richness, and sweetness masked the initial bad flavour of rhe coffee, and it turned out semi-reasonable, and gave me the caffine/sugar kick I was after. Overall, I'm sure theres better cafes and coffee shops in the Central vicinity. Food wise, I can't comment but they look like your typical train station/fast food/greasy spoon fare. Will probably only grab coffee here again if I'm rushed for time and theres no real other option.
