This place was thoroughly disappointing and does not offer authentic Thai in any way! We ordered the kra pao Gai (basil and chilli chicken) a dish we have eaten hundred of time, both here in Australia and in many parts of Thailand. Never in all these times has the dish contained carrots, broccoli or bamboo shoots!!!! Given there were a total of three pieces of chicken we got the distinct impression this was a blatant attempt to make money by filling the dish with cheap veggies. Moreover their was no evidence of any Thai basil a key ingredient in this dish no shortage of chilies though. Whilst we don’t mind it hot, Thai food is all about the balance and with no basil there was certainly no balance between the chilli and basil The Thai iced tea was the only okay part of the meal hence the one star This was such a disappointment!! There are plenty of other great Thai places around this one don’t stop here
Had some time to kill in Sydney before my train journey south so decided to head toward Chinatown to find food. Didn’t get too far as this place looked clean and smelled delicious. Not big meals, but neither are the prices. Friendly staff and love being able to see into the busy kitchen through the glass pane window at the rear. Would definitely go back again.
Had a booking for Sunday Lunch 12.00. Arrived the place was just about full ,lots of Asian people which means that the food should be good, they were all having late breakfast or early lunch. Our order taken and in about 8 minutes the entrée arrived , hot spring rolls, before they were eaten the two mains and rice arrived, could not complain about waiting time.Meal were of a good size and tasty, place was clean and could kind of see into kitchen prep area , also good . enjoyed the meals and pricing.
Tried their all day specials. Good selection of tasty morsels, small enough to allow you to try a few. Great for light lunch/brunch. The noodle soups were aromatic with general helpings of protein. Tried also their other special chicken sweet basil chilly on rice with a glass of wine. It was delicious reasonably priced. Front of the shop is the deserts bakery where you could purchase some to takeaway. Service was genuine courteous. Overall happy to return.
