Quick update 31 Oct, their soft bone fried chick (ayam kremes) is not really soft bone, more like fried chicken with heaps of crunchy batter piled on top Newly opened indo joint, i couldnt post review or pics or upload any menu as listing wasnt up yet when i visited Those who are familiar with the growing but still limited, indo food scene in sydney, will be quite happy to know that podo offers jajanan' (street food tidbits) Pastel (veg/chick pasties indo style with vermicelli) 3.25/5 Mie ayam bakso (dry chicken noodle with beef meatballs) 3.25/5 Bakso goreng (giant fried meatballs) 3.5/5 Not a bad place to swing by if you fancy some indo food in chinatown area. Beautiful presentation of dishes. everything was well seasoned and there was a lot of taste in the food. the rice was a highlight because it was so delicious and tasteful. the chicken was a bit too dry and hard for my pleasure.
I tried this place three times, but I'm still not convinced with the taste. the service is ok, but eating just does not fit to bud my taste. maybe one day I will try again -:d
The Tempo-Bacem is really good in podomoro! the rendang is decent and the kangkung is quite delicious, although it is in a rather thick corn starchy sauce that I am not used to. in jakarta I have generally known it more than a touching frit with garlic or chili. the chicken is on the dry side, but this is quite normal in Indonesian cuisine.
