Ono Hawaiian Bbq - Hayward

The food at this restaurant is delicious. The establishment is clean and the staff is very attentive and friendly. The only drawback is that the green salad could be improved, which is why I am giving it a 4 out of 5 rating. The chicken and other meats were very flavorful. Overall, I really enjoyed my experience and will definitely be returning in the future.

We were enjoying the fried fish with a hint of ginger flavor for a while, but today the experience was disappointing. The batter was brown and overcooked, it seemed like the oil needed to be changed. Additionally, there was no ginger taste in the fish batter. Not good.

The food at this restaurant is consistently good, the service is always prompt, but the order setup can be confusing. Recently, the service has declined with long waits and disorganized orders. It seems like they don't care about the customers' wait times. The management should improve their business etiquette. Overall, I'm deducting 2 stars from my 5-star rating.

Solid portion sizes and decent flavor, as always. (I like how most hawaiian BBQ places are so consistent with their flavors and portions. I got a mini meal with BBQ beef. It came with some sauce, which I think would taste great with fried dishes but noton their BBQ. Mini meal might sound too small for most people, but it 's really sizable at Ono and plenty of food for even ahungry gal like me. Great value overall.

The island fire chicken was amazing! Spicy and not too sweet. They give good portions and the macaroni salad is always good!
