The Tree House - Hayward

I found out about The Tree House last year right after Christmas through another website (yelp). One of my yelp buddies posted his review. Of course, I read other people's reviews. Most of the yelpers spoke highly of the potato pancake with duck egg and bacon sausage. I did not bookmark to try them later. Instead two days after reading the view, it was a bee line to this restaurant for the potato pancake with duck egg and bacon sausage. My daughter had the chorizo meal. The Tree House is located at 1019 B Street in Hayward. It is a cozy restaurant, sharing space with two other businesses. The ambiance suits me fine high ceilings, elegant light fixtures, framed paintings of various sizes mounted on the wall, curio cabinets filled with all sorts of knick knacks and wedding theme items. Yesterday, I brought my husband to this restaurant for his 71st birthday. I wanted him to give the restaurant a try. He and I enjoyed our meal very much. Joseph and his staff were very friendly and engaging in conversation. I don't get out to Hayward too often, but if I happen to be in the neighborhood, The Tree House would my go to place for brunch. The service may be slow for some people. If you are looking for something quick to eat, then The Tree House is not where you should be. A meal of excellent quality takes time to prepare and this place is certainly no fast food burger joint. Even though I have only been here twice, there is a certain level of comfort that I feel when I am dining on the potato pancake with duck egg and bacon sausage. To me, it's dining at home away from home.

Food was excellent service was even better owner and or Chef even came out to find out if we were enjoying the food I suggest the breakfast sliders next time I’m going to try the bacon sausage or the breakfast bowl

The food was delicious . The pancakes were fluffy, the cinnamon butter was to die for you don’t even need the syrup. I also had scrambled eggs and turkey bacon. I was sooo happy the turkey bacon was an option because i don’t eat pork. I’ll definitely go back there again

Great food, great people. Inexpensive food AND you can get beer or wine too!

I understand the slowness of the food coming to your table... maybe they're new and still trying to establish.. once our food came I saw something new which I ... the chef even chit chat and funny too! Eclectic decor! Definitely will go back to try more on their menu!
