This restaurant is a popular spot for families celebrating Mother's Day. It was our first time dining here, but our family members had recommended it and we were glad they did. The menu offered a variety of delicious German dishes, and the bar had a great selection of German beers and wines. The Pork Knuckles and schnitzels were particularly outstanding, as were the sausage plates at a nearby table. The prices were reasonable and the food was served promptly despite the busy atmosphere. The only downside is that the restaurant is quite a distance from our home, otherwise we would love to become regular patrons.
Food is consistently good but COVID safety measures not followed no one was there to ensure check ins were done, female manager wandered around with her mask under her nose the whole time. Bar staff and waiters doing the right thing, patrons put their masks on upon getting up from their table. COVID safety measures are for the good of all.
If you love pork knuckles, this is the place to eat it. It came with a crispy skin and served on mash and red cabbage. They have a good range of European beers. There were about 6 types of cakes pastries but we were too full to attempt it. The place was kept clean in keeping with COVID rules. It is a family place as evidenced by children running, screaming and climbing fences until a security guard stepped in. Where were the parents? Nevertheless it was a good place to have generous German meals.
This is a bit of an institution. Staff are variably friendly and the food is consistently hearty German food. Reasonably priced. Best for cold winter days
