A big group about us was in a serious conversation. so that everyone could follow some people, had to speak, but it remained polite and adult as not really disturbing in the did sign of life in a quiet road. Despite the great table, the...wait staff was busy they were attentive and helpful to serve us. veg suppe, callbsleber, a mini cream brûlée and a selection of cheeses were our evening pleasure with drinks. to go back, they ordered a taxi door to the door. They also operate culinary classes.
As we like to sit outside where and whenever possible, we took a table in the restaurants patio for dinner. The service was attentive and friendly. We got some fresh bread, butter and marinated olives as a starter. Promising opening followed by two real delicious...main courses: Loup de Mer on a risotto with dried tomatoes and a grilled Tuna steak (medium , accompanied by two glasses of white wine: an Auxerrois and a Grauer Burgunder both tasty as well. Animated by the main courses we decided to share a dessert: a Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte in a glass. Unfortunately it couldn't keep up with the level of the mains. Too much whipped cream and almost no chocolate cake base. Maybe we should have gone for the Creme Brulee, as the waiter suggested. Well, next time ; .
Full praise for the kitchen. The calf head was very tasty and the pump steak delicate. Everything is well selected for wine.
An excellent German restaurant. original and tasty eating with Mediterranean touch. attentive and friendly service (they didn't always let us fill our glass wein.) to cheap trips (a bottle of pinot gris blanc de noirs for 24 €). a pretty discovery in heidelberg
