Hadn't been in a long time and went back a few times this past july/august. Witnessed some extremely unprofessional behavior from girl working behind bar that isn't necessary to mention here. We just won't be going back.
We stopped by Lakeside over Memorial Day weekend for some beers and nibbles. Took a little bit to get our beers after we sat but things turned better after more waitstaff covered the floor. Their wings are AMAZING. They definitely bread them and fry and the Buffalo sauce has some kick! Definitely grab the ranch dressing too. Ice cold beer and a good view fun local spot to hang out at on a nice day.
Lakeside has a great atmosphere and can be fun on a warm summer day. Unfortunately, there's not much else good to say about the service or the food. Food is subpar--basically fresh off the Sysco truck to your plate; Little creativity or effort. Service leaves something to be desired--not very friendly or attentive. Prices are outrageous! $10 for a basket of fries. A good bar, yes. Not a great restaurant.
This place embodies lake life and if that's your vibe, you're going to be hard pressed to find a better venue in the area. Food is decent but the focus isnt on dining, as you'll see with the limited menu and non-bar seating options. Weekends can make it tough to get service when you want it. Mixed drinks are meh but you're not going here for the food or cocktails but the location and vibe. You're going for a cold drink and to party by the lake.
The staff is friendly, and the beer prices are quite reasonable. However, the place could use a thorough cleaning. One visit a year seems sufficient.
