The beautiful beer garden is sheltered from the wind, making it a lovely place to relax. The catering manager is exceptional and truly goes above and beyond to ensure a fantastic experience.
On a calm Sunday afternoon, I observed something interesting: the majority of the tables were arranged for two, with only a handful designed for four. In fact, some tables were even set for just two guests. It was a lovely detail.
I absolutely adore the Eier Balmoral for breakfast here—it's a delicious dish of eggs served on haggis with hollandaise sauce. What's not to love? During my recent visit, I enjoyed a fantastic Scottish breakfast that was not only excellent but also offered at a great price. The restaurant has implemented measures to ensure COVID safety, which I really appreciated. However, I was disappointed to learn that they discontinued the Oyster Balmoral (eggs with haggis) since my last visit on July 31. That was quite upsetting! On the bright side, I tried the Eggs Benedict, and it turned out to be very good.
This restaurant may seem a bit unassuming from the outside, but the interior exceeded my expectations. It turned out to be a wonderful venue, designed in the style of Charles Rennie Mackintosh. The food was also of a high standard.
