Florio's Pizzarè - Helotes

Our first visit here. We had the Florio Special. It was EXCELLENT!! GREAT crisp crust, flavorful sauce, and loaded with delicious toppings. The peppers on it were the surprise--don't know why, but they popped the taste buds (previously pickled? Sauteed? ...? . Good things going on here... We will definitely be back.

I lived in Italy for many years. I have since lived in San Antonio for over a decade. This place is amazing! Best pizza I’ve had since I left Italy!!! Best pizza in San Antonio! Hands down! Try the Cannoli too This place is a hidden gem and more people should get to know about it.

Nooooooooo!!!!! We LOVE Florio's hoagies and pizzas!! We are VERY VERY saddened to hear that they are closing this Bandera location! It was much closer for us to get our fix, and we had recently started going more frequently again, after a recent trip up north. We are totally bummed about the news! Welp, looks like we'll be visiting the Broadway location again like the good ol days (before the Bandera location opened)... Florio's Definitely has, by far, the best hoagies (with Amoroso rolls, the real deal) and pizza in San Antonio. Hope you can open a new Bandera restaurant in a better shopping area soon!

Went to Russo's New York Pizzaria at the Rim yesterday and it was absolutely terrible. Florio's at 1604 and Bandera you are already being missed. Russo's can't make a pie to save themselves. Total garbage. Florio's is where it's at!

Had a pizza a couple of weeks ago and I have to admit was not the pizza we are normally used to. After speaking to the owner he offered to make it right, and he did. We ordered a pepperoni pizza. The crust was perfectly cooked, cheese gooey and delicious!! I recommend Florios in Helotes if you want a delicious NY pizza. Thanks Jeff, we remain loyal customers . Nancy
