Contribuisci feedbackI visited Penelope with my husband on Friday evening before going to theatre. We both were disappointed: Average dishes, small portions, very very much overprized. Friendly staff!
We decided Friday evening to dine at Restaurant Penélope. We were greeted by a friendly and attentive young lady who served us rather quickly. The prices were steep, however, we thought it would be worth trying, if the food exotic and good. Unfortunately, we were disappointed. The meat was rubber-like, and tasteless (probably ready cooked and reheated, it was disappointing. The fish portion was small and not professionally fried as if the cook was amatuer. Restaurant Penélope is not a fancy restaurant with attractive venue that justifies the nothing special and overpriced dishes and sadly we were disappointed, however, the dessert items and the drink list were ok and the evening passed happily.
Atmosphere and location very good, modern and quite stylish place. Most of the portions were small tapas. They looked nice and sound good at menus, but I prefer more flavours and seasoning, they were quite blend. Service was good and matching wines perfect. I might go there again.
Good atmosphere, solid starters but extremely disappointing main courses and poor service. Expected better value. Noticed quite a few tables having some issues.
I would have given four stars without the mess with the service. Small dishes didn' arrived to table for all of us at the same time, I quess two of us woyldn't get the plates at all without asking separately. Nobody brought the wine list even if we mentioned we would like to have wine with the main course. Do after all we were already eaten half the dish when (needed to ask again) we got glasses of wine. When one of us told he prefer beer instead of a wine poured from the bottle not having time to air, he had to argue with the waitress about the choice.. And finally the wine list was delivered five minutes later that by another waitress. And the mess continued with the coffees. I'm not picky, but it was quite confusing when all mistakes were responded with laugh, not with real apologies, even the coffees were charged. The owner should fix the own restaurant first.
