The Fishery Inn - Hemel Hempstead

The food used to be very good but seems pretty ordinary these days. My chips were soggy and tasteless. My husband’s fried chicken was not fried, but the stuffing was tasty. Too bad there was only a teaspoon of it. Insufficient staff meant we had to keep asking for the bill and finally had to go to the bar to pay. And it used to be so good! There was also no record of our booking a table

I didn't have high expectations after reading some previous reviews, but I was pleasantly surprised with our dining experience. The food was delicious and well-presented, the service was good, and we had a enjoyable evening overall. The service was a bit slow, but understandable given the busy atmosphere and the training of a new waitress. This actually gave us time to chat between courses. We had a great night and will definitely be coming back soon.

It's disappointing that the quality of the restaurant has decreased. Additionally, our table reservation was not recorded.
