Big Daddy's Cheesesteaks - Hemet

I wouldn't know a good Philly cheesesteak sandwich since I'm not from there, so the best I can compare it to is another well-known and similar shop, Philly Frank's in Vista, CA., which claims to be authentic. Philly Frank's is pretty awesome, but it isn't right around the corner now that I live in Hemet, so this is my new place to get my sandwich fix on. Just as good, if not better. I give a smidge to Frank's if only because they have a well stocked condiment bar with peppers and pickles, but Big Daddy wins on overall flavor and meatiness. Just had one, and it was guuuuuuuud....

I am always hesitant to try a new places especially since I am so picky and a self claimed food critic (my family teases me that I am never happy with any restaurants; ever) but in the local fb groups I have always seen over the top reviews and suggestions to dine here. It wasn't until Hemet News did their video exposure that we finally decided to come in and see for ourselves. The location is extremely clean and the staff is beyond friendly. The prices are great. I was a bit discouraged when my original cheese steak arrived to the table as it looked so plain. But I could not have been more wrong! This was the most flavorful and amazing cheese steak sandwich I have ever had for never dining outside of California. I can't compare it to other states back east since I have not been but the sandwich itself made me imagine I was there and what an authentic one would be. The chili peper slaw sauce on the side complimented the sub perfectly and the chili cheese fries topped it all off. In fact, we just counted the days down until we could dine again. Very filling. We recently came back for a 2nd visit and brought our teenage son who insisted he hates all cheese steaks and was almost refusing to eat: More for us we joked. Well, it won his heart and his stomach over too, and he has been begging us to go back every day. We decided to split 2 Sandwiches and 1 chili cheese fries between the 3 of us and we were still stuffed beyond full just on half a sub each (and we are BIG eaters). A must try! Kicking myself in the butt for not trying them out sooner in the 2 years they have been open! We will be dedicated and loyal patrons from here on out. You won't regret it!

Best cheesesteak you can get for your money I reccomend this place to anyone and everyone the cheesesteak submarine is the best if you love cheesesteak sandwiches big daddy's is the place to go keep making those famous sandwiches boss ill be back very soon

Bomb!!!! I love cheesesteaks but this place has the best cheesesteaks! My first time there and I was pleased!!!! I recommend this place to everyone! Meat was great and not all fatty like most places and bread was soft and taste good! Love it

My favorite is the pepper cheesesteak wrapped in lettuce!! But everything on their menu is delicious! You can see your food being made fresh to order, and i love that. Big Daddy has a voice that just let's you know you are being taken care of and his wife is just the nicest gal around. True family owned and ran. Highly recommend it.
