I noticed that the broth wasn’t as vibrant red as I typically expect, and the lemongrass flavor wasn’t very strong either. I’m inclined to think they might use a different base broth and just mix in bun bo hue seasoning before serving it. While that’s acceptable, it wasn’t what I was hoping for. Additionally, the bathrooms were not the cleanest. I ended up giving this place 2 stars mainly due to the unsatisfactory bathroom conditions and the fact that I didn’t receive an authentic bowl of bun bo hue.
Here’s a breakdown of what we ordered during our dine-in experience: - Egg rolls: 3/5 - Shrimp and pork fried rice: 5/5 – it was perfect! - Pho Gai: 5/5 - Pho Dac Biet (combination): 5/5 – the bone broth was delicious! - Hot coffee with sweetened condensed milk: 5/5 For our to-go order, we ordered a banh mi thit nuong, which we planned to enjoy later that evening during a family dinner. We arrived around 4:30 p.m. on December 29, 2020, and were greeted warmly by the staff, who provided a high chair for our baby. The friendly server who took our order was wearing a mask and gloves, which was reassuring. Our food arrived promptly, allowing us to enjoy our meal without delay. We requested a smaller portion of bean sprouts instead of the usual large serving, and the server happily accommodated our request. As a family, we truly appreciated the level of service we received at this restaurant, and we look forward to returning in the near future.
Man, what 's with COVID being everyone 's excuse to do a terrible job?? The last 3 times I 've been here I haven 't actually eaten here. Trip 1. They closed early Trip 2 They were out of broth and rice. Trip 3 showed up and there were people eating. But they told us no dine in?? So I don 't know what 's going on, but they 've been rude, grouchy and unable to perform basic restaurant functions. Won 't be trying a fourth time. Fortunately there is another highly rated Pho place across the street. Sitting here now waiting on food. Fingers crossed I 'll be writing a 5 star review for my new spot . Worst case I 'll be searching until I find the right place.
I'm always hesitant when eating at/from Viet restaurants in Vegas being Vietnamese myself and growing up on home cooked and if eating out always in good ol' San Jose or Little Saigon only! I'm happy I decided to take a chance here because it definitely hit the spot. I needed pho delivered and found this place through yelp. Goi Cuon/Spring(Summer) Roll- very refreshing. A lot more vegetables than noodles, but that's personally how I usually have it when making it myself. If you normally pack your's with noodles than this may not be for you. Com Ga Nuong Cha Gio/Grilled Chicken and Egg Rolls- LOTS of rice given! Grilled chicken was good, nothing special in my opinion. The egg rolls that came with it were much smaller/thinner than expected. Pho Tai, Gan, Bo Vien/ Pho Round Eye Steak, Tendon, Meatball- very clear and clean broth that's not packed with msg! I normally down two glasses of water when eating non-homemade pho. For being take out I appreciated how everything was packed separately to keep everything in good quality until you're ready to put it together to eat at home. Che Thai- I've only ever had my mom's che, but this helped curve the craving! When I got it, I removed the Ice and tucked it away in the fridge to eat later on at night.
Decided to try this place again after not going there for almost 3 years. It 's still just ok . I think it 's a pretty fair 3.6 3.8 star Pretty much your typical pho joint. Prices are about right compared to other places. However be warned, we were at table of 4 adults and 2 small children and they automatically tacked on 18% gratuity. Not a big deal but just be forewarned as it might catch some people by surprise. Pho broth was good, seasoning just right. I did notice that even though we ordered the pho with the well done beef, it still came out super red. Not a big deal because the broth is piping hot and if you mix it to the bottom of the bowl right away it will cook itself no problem. The fresh spring roll presentation was kinda cool it had the leaf part of the lettuce sticking out the side.
