In Colorado we love green chili they don't have to do green chili here, it's all red and it's not a wet burrito. That sounds gross, it's a smothered burrito. That being said we tried Roberto's and it's good. The only complaint I have is that they cook all of their Carne Asada the beef, the chicken with red peppers and I don't understand that, I don't like peppers in my meat so the only reason I go there is to get a breakfast burrito which are really good compared to others you can get around here. So it's good in a pinch craving Mexican. However, if I have time I would drive further to get meat with no peppers . They're friendly they're fast no problems there I can't say what it's like on the inside I just went through the drive-through.
This is now officially our go to Roberto's! The woman who took David's order was so nice. She did not make David feel about asking for the Senior Citizen discount (10% and was all around awesome (9:04 am on a Tuesday. The carne asada fries are epic. The order is about 6x what you get at Del Taco.. of course it is 3x the price. David and I can eat any given amount of carne asada with or without toppings and fries on most days but splitting this works for even our appetites. This Roberto's is also super clean.
Super rude customer service ordered carne asada fries through Uber eats and they didn't put any carne asada on them. Went to the location so they can make it right and she was completely rude instead of admitting they made a mistake and put the carne asada on there she just told us to complain to Uber eats so we can get a refund wouldn't acknowledge that they made a mistake or even offer to make it right. Not the first time we've had issues at this place but it will be the last they will not get my business anymore. Cashier was the worst.
The shredded chicken burrito has good flavor, but must be eaten carefully/quickly due the sauce that escapes the tortilla
It pains me to say this because I really don't like giving 1 star reviews, and I'm usually not that hard to please. But this spot really disappointed me. It's in a very convenient for us Touro students, so I'll probably revisit at some point in the future, but not any time soon. I ordered a carne asada burrito, and I think it's fairly priced in this economy. Per other reviewers though, it seems as though the portion size has gone down. I've never been previously so I can't comment on that, but I feel like the portion is okay for the price. However, the taste is very sub-par and the presentation is quite... disappointing. I felt the meat was over-salted, and actually the texture wasn't really like most carne asada that I've had. The burrito was also hardly wrapped, and the paper that wrapped it was loose too. And the kicker? I'm pretty sure I developed some mild food poisoning. I split the burrito into dinner, and lunch the next day. The day I had it for dinner, I had an episode of mild diarrhea. The next day after lunch, I had 2 episodes of diarrhea. This really threw me off. I've never had this happen to me, even when eating food in other countries overseas. Buyer beware. Hopefully it was only an isolated incident, and only me.
