The Baker's Box - Hendersonville

The Baker’s Box has quickly become our favorite place to eat recently. I really like the restaurant decorations and that the menu items have themed names. The staff are so nice and atmosphere is really fun! Plus, the food is delicious!

I rarely write reviews ... However this was a disappointment. We should have left when they refused to allow us to order the hamburger Special without onions? They said “NO CHANGES”?? Okay, I ordered a fried Flounder sandwich which was 10 times the size of the chewy roll it was served on, the tartar sauce was mayo and honey-mustard ? The flounder was enormous in size and was from Indonesia the sandwich had countless sweet, bread and butter pickles which I picked off but still left their sweetness on the bread. normally dill pickles are in a traditional tartar sauce) the sandwich slides all over place bc the roll did not absorb the contents were grossly out of proportion to the bread. The fries were so greasy nice presentation). Overall, $34 for 2 sandwiches and no drinks .. It was just not good. The restaurant’s refusal to omit onions from a burger? That in itself is unacceptable for any restaurant in my book and I would never go back or recommend the Bakers Box.

My wife and I have been wanting to try The Baker 's Box for a while now. Today was our lucky day! We tried their Big A Fish Sandwich which was one of today 's specials and the Ashe-vegas Panini. Both sandwiches were delicious, but that fish sandwich might have been the best I have ever had. The house made roll and tarter sauce were out of this world! I just wish there was more and that it was a permanent menu item. While ordering our lunch, we were tempted by the dessert display to the left of the registers, so we ordered a lemon tart and an oreo cheesecake brownie to take home. Highly recommend this place! Just don 't stop in for lunch if you are in a rush, they have signs reminding you that this is not a fast food joint.

My BLY did not have heaping piles of bacon as described on the menu. The chefs sauce was very good but it wasnt worth $12. Fries were very soggy. Person that took my order was very curt on the phone.

This was a nice surprise. Truly a marvel. Salads were good too. Will stop by again earlier to have a whole meal.
