Awful Arthurs Seafood Co. Raw Bar Restaurant Henrico

Overall, I enjoy this Awful Arthur’s location and would recommend it. The service has always been consistent and friendly at the bar and the atmosphere is, well, what you would expect from a raw bar and grill.On the food front I had raw oysters on my most recent visit. They were poorly cleaned and shucked with a significant amount of dirt/grit on the shell and grit/broken shell within. Using the standard method of throwing on one’s sauce of choice and eating directly from the shell, I ended up having to spit/pick out more grit from my mouth than is desirable.Other food I’ve had has been good.

We were at the beach all day and thought we would like to grab some AA on the way home. When I got home I realized they charged me a $6 gratuity! For what?? I got out of the car and walked to window, no one delivered it! I love this place but bad form AA!Food: 5/5

Great little dive bar! Friendly staff and easy atmosphere. Not just good seafood, good burgers too. Kid-friendly and outdoor seating available. For those going for the bar: Good on-tap selection and great pricing!Food: 5/5
