Captain D's - Henrico

This Captain D's has a more extensive menu compared to those in the Northwest Panhandle of Florida. The drive-thru was incredibly busy, with cars circling the building, and the parking lot and lobby were both full. The staff was highly efficient, with a great mix of personalities in the right roles. The cashier taking orders was a laid-back young man, while the woman at the drive-thru window and those delivering completed orders to customers outside were very vocal and worked hard to keep things moving smoothly. The cooks were on point, as everything I ordered was correct and tasted excellent. The manager came out to speak with his team, and I was reminded of my brother, who started working at Captain D's in the mid-80s. He eventually went on to work for Denny's and is now in upper management at Aramark. I can recognize a good manager and a solid team when I see one. Thumbs up!

Be prepared to wait in line for take-out dinner; it's always worth it. I really miss the fried clam strip dinners! Please bring them back!

The food is consistently fresh, always served hot, and ready to enjoy. I really like the fish and the shrimp—no complaints from me!

Tha food was amazing, as always. The crabcakes had so much flavor and the shrimps was on point.

The huge fish sandwich is the best in town! Super crispy and YUMMY!
