The atmosphere was beautiful, the service was excellent, and I was impressed by the attractive waiter and bartender. The food was delicious; the fried oysters were outstanding, and I enjoyed sharing my friends' fries. The main dishes were flavorful, though some had unexpected twists. My shrimp and grits weren’t the traditional version I anticipated, but they were still very tasty. I can't wait to return and try more dishes since this was my first visit. Our waitress was fantastic, and I really appreciated the complimentary glass of champagne for my birthday!
To start, I ordered their famous Blue Point oysters, which were incredibly sweet and delicious. My wife chose the tuna tacos, and they were also packed with flavor. I had the fried grouper sandwich, and it was arguably the best fish sandwich I’ve ever had! It was perfectly cooked and fried, with all the right accompaniments. Seriously, it was fantastic! I also got a side of truffle fries. My wife opted for the grilled mahi with a side of potatoes, which was really tasty as well. The atmosphere was great, with good seating options, and the staff worked incredibly hard. I highly recommend this place—good times and fantastic food!
Food: We've dined here about six times, and everything has always been delicious with impressive presentation. The oysters here, as well as those at their other restaurant (East Coast), are among the best in RVA. My personal favorites include the Corn Chowder soup, fish tacos, roasted grouper sandwich, and Rockfish. My wife enjoys the sushi, but I believe you can find better options elsewhere (though it’s certainly not bad). The prices are reasonable for the quality provided. Beverages: The Salt Air Margarita is outstanding—one of their signature cocktails, in our opinion. With its fluffy foam and delightful flavor, the bar staff clearly knows how to mix a great drink, and the prices are appropriate. Atmosphere: The seating is comfortable and intimate, making the dining area feel like your own private space. We love the large round tables—they add to the pleasant ambiance. Dessert: We haven't tried the desserts yet, but we plan to stop by one day and report back.
Here for Sunday brunch and it was really good. They had a good variety and the presentation was beautiful. People were very good and we were well served. I would recommend it for brunch, we didn't try it for dinner, but it will.
We loved our dinning experience here at this classy seafood restaurant. We’ve visited it’s sister location East Coast down in Cary town many times and have always been impressed on service equal to taste. West Coast is no exemption to the quality of care taken towards its customers. The Press 2 For Sangria was light and fruity to taste but definitely had its strength behind it. The coffee press was a nice touch to creating the drink. It was our first time trying the Jalapeño Sushi Rolls which were suggested to us by the waitress and they weren’t all that spicy but yummy. Will always go for the Calamari here, with the added spring onion. Also, a must for dinner are the Crab Cakes atop sweet potatoes. Overall meal will cost you a pretty penny specially the crab cakes but when it comes to quality you won’t be displeased. $11.95 Calamari $12.95 Jalapeño Sushi Rolls $16.00 Press 2 For Sangria $33.95 Crab Cakes Total Cost of meal: $82.35
