I met my mother here to breakfast with my two youngs a 5 an 11 months and the staff was wonderful how that was eating and my son had a strange question for the kitchen, he likes a fried egg without the egg yolk and she did it for him without resistance or annoying. Thanks for the bark.

Decent food and very friendly staff. Even had Xmas crackers on the tables for boxing day meals lovely bonus!

There is both positive and negative, we will start with the good. The steak was delicious, I wanted medium rare and medium rare it was. We were seated very quickly. Both hostess' were polite, professional and capable. There was only a very short wait for the food so another positive that we were fed quickly. The room is bright and warm and there was ample space. Also it wasn't too noisy which is important personally. The table was clean and I think the cutlery was. So what's the problem then?? Well, being the designated driver I went for the soft drink option, the coke was cold and properly presented but the glass was definitely not clean. I don't mean bar glass washer clean, I mean not cleaned since the last person used it. See pictures. The menu's were filthy page by page food stains from the previous diners. Our hostess, Bethany dealt with the issue when I asked her to take the glass of coke away, said that I did not want it. She asked if there was a problem, this is good. Many might have just taken it away, she had the presence of mind to ask why I didn't want it. Instead I ordered something in a bottle, not trusting the bar staff. Alcohol free Becks, always a safe plan B. See showed that she was thinking about her work again, she delivered it without a glass. She did say I take it you didn't want a glass She was correct. I ordered another drink for my good lady, which came in a recently hand polished glass. See pictures, also she removed the coke from the bill. Good girl . The chunky chips were not properly cooked. Overall was a good dining experience, just can't get the thought of drinking out of a used glass out of my head!

Lovely mains of steak pie as the meats for the Sunday lunch had run out again. Very disappointed with the banoffee sundae. At £6 it should have been nice but the waffles were hard and stone cold and without saying, they substituted caramel sauce with chocolate sauce which I hate. Wish I had been brave enough to refuse it.

Poor service and communication. Completely appreciate everywhere is having supply issues but they did not make us aware of what these were before ordering. Told while ordering that 2 of the 4 meals we ordered were completely unavailable, the 4 meals we did have all had items missing, mostly not replaced with other suitable items or any at all. Still charged full price for incomplete meals, no care shown by the staff. Had they put a little effort into communication this could still have been an enjoyable time with supply issues, but being ambushed with them after receiving drinks and starting to place order is just poor service, unrelated to supply problems
