New Canton House

We ordered the set meal for two last night at this restaurant, but it was not enough food for two people. The portions were very small. The service was also poor, especially from the two older waitstaff members. When we attempted to voice our concerns, we were informed that the meal was intended for two small individuals. It was not mentioned on the menu that it was meant for small appetites. Additionally, they refused to consider a refund.

The soup was still hot which was good, I ordered tofu but the flavorful gravy was missing, though the vegetarian noodles were tasty, I will order again some chicken based main dish and review again.

...further to my last review... but then they have whopped a 20% to 25% price increase on everything. Still the debatable decor and no cards accepted fine if the food and the prices were OK but.. We are checking now out the other places...and will report what we find...

We regularly visit this Chinese restaurant as the staff are friendly and the prices, while slightly expensive, are reasonable. The food is amazing and cooked quickly, with no long waiting times. We highly recommend this restaurant as we believe it is the best in Hereford. The BBQ ribs are particularly delicious and offer the best taste in the city. For only £6, customers can enjoy a large meal with beautifully roasted rice that is competitively priced. The restaurant is preferred over others, such as Ruby and Planet Buffet, especially for those living near the river. Even though Planet Buffet may offer more value for money for takeaway, New Canton House stands out with their amazing complimentary crackers.

The Chinese cuisine at this restaurant is both beautiful and delicious, surpassing my expectations. The portions are generous, and I would definitely come back again if I find myself in the area.
