Crazy Otto's Empire Diner - Herkimer

This was one of many visits the through the years. One last summer and it was not great and pretty expensive. Today it was not that busy when we got there and it we were the last table to get our food. 50 minutes for eggs and pancakes. It was not hot and my gravy was cool and not the way you want your food. Highly disappointed and even more expensive than before. Will not ever be returning. They did comp the check after many excuses and our complaints. It was pretty clear that our meal was forgotten. As a business owner myself, I would’ve comped the check with no questions asked and a lot of apologies. At this point, I’m happy that I didn’t pay for my advertisement to go on your tables. My husband and I love to go out to eat and do not mind paying for good food and good service. This was neither. FYI I never ask for my check to be comped, but that’s how terrible this experience was!

Original American diner great food and great staff. Had breakfast on Lanourday without waiting. Junior manager told us about the history of the diner. Next time we 'll come for dinner Attached terrace and plenty of parking space around it.

We love crazy Otto’s! We live 43 miles away and make the drive as often as we can! Fantastic food and great service! Thank you for always making the drive worth it!

Omelette with bacon bits drown in oil thought sent me dogfood. So greasy even bill had it on it. Tried again 10 bucks for 1 egg 3 bucks for coffee
