I recommend anyone else that it's well worth going. Great coffee, food and service. Amazing Paintings and wooden items all hand made. Enjoyed it very much. Thank you for sharing Hermannsburg NT
Great Cafe, built in 1897 believe it or not! Great atmosphere, good coffee, yummy scones and jam/cream, and the staff are really friendly and helpful! Worth a drive to get a break from Alice. Really green at the moment due to lots of rain!
An exciting and interesting part of the history of Central Australia and Australia’s indigenous population. Just fascinating. Thanks Sam for the great food and coffee!!
There is a definite aura of good energy here. The volunteer staff are friendly and helpful. The Cafe provides nice vittels at reasonable prices. The restoration work provides a picture of the precinct when it was a functioning mission. This is a must for those of us who stereotypically have been taught that all missions mistreated and exploited Aboriginal people. The Lutherans of Hermansburg, while preaching Christianity, do not seem to have been intent on eclipsing every part of Aboriginal culture.
A most interesting visit to Hermannsburg Historical site The days of yesteryear were certainly quite a different era to our living today and I can imagine quite difficult in the olden days A very educational place to visit if you are in the area
