We were in holiday inn, where the restaurant is we had some drinks and dinners. I have the sirloin to be boiled on a salt table, but just grilled. not bad, but nothing impressive. service is good
We were there for the birthday. appetizers and main dishes as well as the drinks and wein were really good. Unfortunately, the waiters are not trained, mix up, forget ordering etc. with better trained employees could be a place.
My friend from Quebec and I had dinner there last night it was dissapointing. The food and wines are overpriced, the staff was marginal and very pretentious. We ordered a bottle of wine and it was so awful we had to return it. I have...never had to this ever, but there is a first time for everything. We ordered beer instead, hard to screw that up. We both ordered the rib-eye steak which is one of their specialtys. I think horse meat might of been a more tender option. The only highlight of the evening was the pretty señoritas sitting next us. Save your money
La Tinto is a beautiful restaurant. Well-decorated. Clean. Really modern. The food was above average, but nothing exceptional. Four-stars would be too much, but three is too low. The staff were kind and well attentive, which is something I value. My greatest disappointment with this...restaurant was their wine options. They 're not good. A restaurant named 'tinto ' (ie, vino tinto) should have their act together when it comes to wine. But this is something that can be remedied easy enough and it would certainly improve the quality of the place. Given there are few options for *good* fine dining in Hermosillo, this is certainly one to add to your list to try for yourself. If you have not yet been, you should go.
