Jimmy's Old Town Tavern - Herndon

From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with a warm and friendly smile. Our server was fantastic and incredibly patient with our kids. The atmosphere is inviting, spacious, and friendly, with a notable military-friendly vibe. The Halloween decorations are impressive and abundant. The range of food options is excellent. I’ll update on how the food tastes, but so far, we have no complaints at all. This charming restaurant was a delightful find!

As for any negatives? Honestly, there were none! Overall, I would rate the taste of the food a solid 9.5 out of 10. Definitely five stars. It was almost perfect!

Had to drive 40 minutes to get here but I say it was well worth it. One of the best dishes I’ve had in a while, and to be frank, I understand why most people say to support small businesses. I ate their delicious poutine, along a savory burger and a Diet Coke to wash it all down. Man, it was so good that I wish it hadn’t ended. The staff was friendly and the location was well kept, I don’t have any complaints. Would come back if I’m in the area, sucks that traffic around NOVA is so bad. Otherwise, 5/5 experience.

We were driving through the area looking for a place to grab lunch and came across Jimmy's. Great place to go to. The manager and bartender were amazing people. Really welcoming, coming over and talking, telling us about the place and it's history. It was like going into a place you've been going to for years and were a regular, except we just wandered in. Since it's a Buffalo (Bills bar, I went with what's from that area; the beef on weck and the poutine (also a birch beer. Sandwich with the jus was really good. Thin beef and while it didn't need the dip, I'm all for dunking my sandwich. The poutine had large curds that were just melty and a nice beef gravy on it. While we're not nearby, I'd definitely head back here for a meal. Additionally, we were there over Halloween weekend and they had this big event for kids going on in an adjacent room that was really cool.
