Zeffirelli Italiano - Herndon

We had our anniversary dinner here. The front door is very challenging for people with any kind of mobility issue. There are 3 high steps with no railing. We had a reservation and I had to help them find us in the list (it was a Monday night and there were very few other reservations). Then half way through the meal they came over to get our name to “verify” our reservation which seemed very odd. The restaurant was only half full and I made the reservation through Yelp a month out. The food was ok. Not bad but certainly nothing special or particularly tasty. The menu says fresh pasta but it tasted pre-packaged. Service was fine but not engaging or welcoming. About the same social interaction as a drive through. They never wished us Happy Anniversary or anything, they barely said hello. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone for a special event or celebration.

We arrived at the opening so we were dining alone for the beginning Interesting architecture in their dining room. Wait staff were attentive but not overbearing. Food was excellent and very high quality. Also reasonable prices. Would definitely recommend and visit again

Zefferelli is in a class by itself. We had been going for many years and recently revisited. The atmosphere is incredible , white tablecloths , intimate feeling , and the best part is we have never been disappointed in the food. It is my favorite Italian restaurant. They have a great menu. Check it out You won't be disappointed.

Perhaps the best Italian restaurant in the area. The atmosphere and service were both excellent. Drinks were refilled regularly and the food came out very quickly with exceptional quality. I would recommend Zeffirelli to anyone seeking fantastic Italian food.

5 stars across the board. Dinner was great and the service was quality and friendly. Prices are reasonable and the food is great at this neighborhood gem. If you’re sick of uninspired chain restaurants and want authentic Italian American style cooking, this is your place. It’s cozy, energetic, and local.
