Good service, but eating is not so good. the caesar salad with huh was pretty good, but the calamari was terrible and the spaghetti pama was not so great, the sose had an almost ketchup taste. the kitchen has ruined the order and my son had to wait 15 minutes to get his food.
As tourist we are looking for really clean restaurants with great food. this fits the bill! I recommend the supreme regal sangria. it is a typical sangria mix, but added with brandy. I had the sweet lasagna and my man had a meeresfruit pasta. They were both very good. tiramisu was our dessert selection and we could have licked the plate.
This review is for the Analco branch, where I happened to visit twice over the past week as part of 2 independent celebrations. On both occasions we were seated at the long table on the top terrace. The first visit was much more agreeable, it...was a nice evening so a gorgeous view to be had, and food and service were average. However the second visit, things went downhill. It was a blustery evening, so the curtain was lowered to protect as from the elements. This meant the table was very cramped, and one guest (at head of table) had to move as rain was making her wet. Ordering drinks was the most frustrating, we ordered a couple of bottles of house wine, and of course, they said they didn't have any left, tried to order a second bottle of reasonably priced La cetto, and surprise surprise, they didn't have that either. Only the more expensive Santa Digna. This happens often in restaurants in Puebla and it really annoys me, why oh why do they have a wine list if they only want to sell you the expensive bottles?!! The food (well my pasta al pesto was really nothing special) I could have cooked it much better myself, the pasta was not fresh, (I wouldn't expect it to be handmade in a place like that though) and for the price the portion was tiny! They brought out the pasta dishes first but a couple of guests who ordered pizza had to wait ages, especially the larger sized ones. Waiters were not attentive to a guest who arrived late, they never brought him the menu, we had to ask twice. Then after we had our food the waiters seemed to just disappear, heaven help you if you need something stuck right up there on the roof. I got the feeling because we were a large party they probably were annoyed and considering the reservation was made one month in advance you think they would have given us a better table. Oh and I didn't mention there is an unpleasant smell that wafts over from time to time. Probably the river down below. The waiter got annoyed when we didn't leave a generous tip, but 500 pesos was solely on wine and the service was bad, so what did they expect. Oh and when trying to leave nobody came to let us out, I had to ask for them to open the door. It's a shame, it's a nice venue, I think the weather was partly to blame for this bad experience, but I've made up my mind. I definitely won't bother going back, there are far better places to choose from.
As tourists, we look for really clean restaurants with great food. This one fit the bill! I highly recommend the "top shelf" Sangria. It is a typical Sangria mixture, but with brandy added. I had the Vegetable Lasagna and my husband had a Seafood Pasta dish. They were both VERY, VERY good. Tiramisu was our dessert selection and we could have licked the plate.
