On my recent trip to Puebla, I could not wait to go back to this restaurant! They have moved to new location in Col. La Paz. This location is larger and has a beautiful outdoor patio. The interior has been remodeled with a huge, beautiful fireplace. The barbecue is the same awesome flavor that I remember. Our table ordered a pork sandwich (very lean, no fat or gristle), a "build your own hamburger (with a great list of options to add on), and ribs (awesome)! The slaw, potato salad, beans, french fried onion rings and bread that they serve are all delicious, as well. This is a family business that treat their customers like royalty!
Really nicely decorated restaurant with delicious food and great service. BarBQ is out of this world! French fries, hand battered fried onion rings served with a spicy dipping sauce, cole slaw, and all of "fixin's" that go with BarBQ. They also have awesome burgers, that you can top with 5 ingredients out of a long list of possibilities. They have a pizza oven that was brought here from Italy and bake awesome pizzas and focaccia bread. Top this off with berry cobbler ala mode. How can you beat this???
Country music and atmosphere...just like Texas, right in the middle of Puebla, Mexico. The food we ate was good but not the bar-b-q we are used to. I will return.
The food was very good, some things like the Texas pork spareribs and homemade apple pie a la mode were excellent, but poor service relegates this restaurant to an average rating. Three waiters- two EATING DINNER and one constantly on his cell phone- for eight tables. No manager in sight. Why would two waiters be having dinner? Restaurant 101: waitstaff has meals before or after the dinner hour. Amateur mistake. Couldn't even get their attention! And when we did, there were faces and attitude!
