Hotel Promenade

We have booked online and the photos have no relation to this hotel. The restaurant below is closed/empty. The room we saw was old and terrible. Old silver color on the walls was faded. The balcony was dirty and the table was broken and the sun was torn. The bathroom comes from the 70s. We had to check in at the reception in a nearby hotel. After we saw the room, we went back and checked it. Do not miss your time with this hotel and do not risk staying in a good hotel in this wonderful location.

The food was nothing special. Service OK. The best is really the location by the lake and the great view. My friend tried a pizza and I had a mixed salad with grilled turkey fillet. The offer a very delicious rose wine at the price of 14.50€ the bottle. That would be a reason for me to come back.

When you walk in the restaurant, you immeditely smell garlic and know this will be a good place to eat. We ate at the restaurant twice in four days. Loved both of the meals. The first meal we ate was lunch. I had a pizza and my husband had the linguine and clams. The linguine also had bits of squid which was delightful. We next ate dinner there. They had an appetizer of steamed clams. The plate was gigantic, but we finished all of them. We also had the canelloni. The portions were large, and very flavorful. And we finished the meals off with gelato.

Located beautifully at the lake. Comprehensive menu with Italian kitchen influences. Everyone in the company were very satisfied with the food they selected. Possible to sit outside and enjoy the sunset over the lake in the summer (but be aware of the mosquitos after sunset). Friendly staff make their best for you to enjoy.

We visited this restaurant last year and we are sitting here right now (March 9, 2014). We sat at 13:30, we were able to order in about 25 min and now at 15:30 they are serving the main (in some cases the only) course. Despite of the quality of the food (nothing special but acceptable) the service is unacceptable. To be avoided! Our last time here!
