We made a reservation in advance expecting a busy café, but were surprised to find ourselves as the only customers. The breakfast menu had a variety of options, and we chose the Brioche French toast, Buttermilk pancakes, and a selection of cooked breakfast items. The French toast and pancakes were delicious, as was the sausage in the full breakfast. Our food arrived quickly, and we enjoyed our meal by the wood-burning stove in the sun lounge extension with views of the gardens. While prices may be a bit high at full price, the 50% off promotion made it a great value for money dining experience.
I would like to request a response from the owner to address the issues experienced during my recent visit to this restaurant. The food was above average, but unfortunately, the service was slow and poor. The waitress seemed to be having a bad day and I received unfriendly looks. When I ordered avocado on sourdough with 2 poached eggs, I requested for the toast to be buttered first. However, I was told that the butter was kept outside the kitchen area and they could not fulfill my request. After requesting for the toast to be buttered inside the kitchen area, I was informed that it was against the restaurant's policy. I couldn't understand this policy and asked if it could be changed, but was met with resistance. The food eventually arrived after 30 minutes, but the toast was still not buttered. I found it puzzling that a restaurant and chef could not accommodate such a simple request. The food was decent, but the poor and slow service detracted from the overall experience. In conclusion, there is room for improvement at this establishment.
I am extremely dissatisfied with the service at this restaurant. I specifically ordered a dish, but there was a lack of communication and the wait staff never inquired about any allergies. Additionally, my food arrived cold. If the staff are not content with their jobs, they should not be working in this industry. I come to dine out to relax and have an enjoyable experience. This is the second time I have had a negative experience at this cafe, and I will not be returning. I will be sure to inform others about my experience. While I was there, another patron complained about finding hair in her food. Two complaints in one day is unacceptable. I asked for the manager's contact information, but since I was unable to reach Julie, I have decided to leave a negative review to warn others.
Fabulous venue with plenty of tables and a lovely interior. The staff member was friendly and welcoming and gave great service. The menu has something for everyone and very accommodating about modifying the dishes. Highly recommend the Daisy’s breakfast. Would visit again!
Great Vegan breakfast, very well priced and excellent customer service. Really nice Oatmeal Latte too.
