Kaizen - Herzogenaurach

The staff is very friendly and well informed about the ingredients of the food, many vegetarian dishes can be veganized according to agreement by leaving or exchanging the animal component.

This place is a 3 minute walk, but I’ll never go back. I ordered vegan fried rice and they included ground chicken. I asked twice and they said it wasn’t meat. Then someone else confirmed it was. Ugh. That can happen, but they didn’t recognize it when I asked and they barely apologized at all. There are better options in this small town. For Asian food in town try Lotus.

The food here is not great, the sushi is plentiful and and fairly cheap but not high quality The other dishes do not taste authentic at all, especially as someone who has spent 20 years living in various parts of east Asia including Japan. Do not bother with this place unless its a very last resort.

Something to improve in the service. Sashimi is good and plentiful and so the nigiri and uramaki. But the service has to be improved. They do not accept MasterCard/Visa, so you have to pay cash. I thought that Germany was not really third world...

Been there to take sushis away. Quite a large room but almost empty that night which creates a strange atmosphere. Waiter was extremely nice and diligent. Once back home we were a bit disappointed with the food : not bad but not very tasty, a bit plain.
