It meant the chisel, a mountain massif over 750m. Mrs. Holle's here at home, but I didn't want to meet him in April! So I was commissioned to find out the “irgendeine” gastronomy at the Meißner. Idea 1. had lunch. Idea 2. was on a honeymoon for several weeks, so I decided to go to the Gasthaus Hoher Meißner. We were here in the summer of 2015 and found it quite neat. There was a sausage plate at that time. So I have a table for 5 people on the window 1 week before. 15 minutes before the reserved time we arrived, but the window tables were all occupied! And now? The employee apologised, the guests there (they showed with their finger on a small group) had just placed on the reserved table and now she had covered us a table. Super – starts well! It was too cold for us to sit outside, so we took the table for us, in the east decorated guest room and the visit of Bremen had to look at the terrace after dinner to admire the view. I ordered housewife sülze with crispy roast potatoes and colorful salad for 8.80€. Without using dairy products, neither butter for roast potatoes, nor the popular hessian sauce for salad. Almost worked. The dish contains a sauce containing milk products, but since it was served in an additional pot, there was nothing to complain. For the pearl I ordered a part of the mustard and left the image of a mustard junkie during the operation. I love mustard! The slim was pleasantly mild, no acidic aftertaste, very tasty. The roast potatoes could have been a little more cherry for my taste, but for that they were with bacon. The rest ordered various beard liquor variations; Beard liquor with fish and grilled potatoes and beard liquor with pork fillet on potato roast. The dishes arrived well, the visit was impressed, Schwiegermutti was enthusiastic and the Schwiegerpapapa would like to come back in autumn. Everything done right! Apart from reservations, everything was harmonious! The ambience is a question of taste, I find it very suitable for a mountain inn.
