This could be a really good place for food but the service is terrible. It took an hour from placing an order to have the food on the table. The reason - "we're busy". It seems that the phone in orders for takeaway get preference over the in house orders . So if you want a pizza be prepared to wait.Setting that aside, the pizzas were reported by the group as fine. I had pork in white wine, it was ok but nothing more. With service like this it wouldn't survive back home in London
The service was politely done by a young girl but the chef and the responsible lady give you this warm family atmosphere. Food was excellent - homemade pasta and the scaloppine nice
This was my first visit to Dolce e Vita. It was recommended by family and it certainly met my expectations in terms of food and service. The pasta was all freshly cooked to perfection and the portions were very good. The desert platter is massive and can easily be shared between 5 people. The service was very friendly, with a smile and engaged with the guests. The restaurant is on the smaller side which makes it nice and cosy but it also makes it very loud and it was hard to hear each other. Otherwise we had a very good time and will be back again!
