I’ve heard it gets quite crowded on Friday and Saturday nights, but we went at 6:30 PM, which was the perfect time. They offer wine and beer, but I'm not sure about other types of alcohol. I'm definitely planning to return; it’s worth the trip!
On the positive side, the food is well-presented and captures the essence of traditional Peruvian cuisine. However, the downside is the slow service—especially on Sundays, when the owner should consider hiring more waitstaff. Additionally, the “Bistec a lo pobre” lacked delicacy; perhaps the cut of meat used wasn’t the best choice for this classic dish.
The restaurant is a great place to explore Peruvian cuisine, featuring nearly all the traditional dishes. While the prices might seem high at first, the portion sizes are generous, and sharing is definitely an option. I ordered "leche de tigre," which was decent but could have been better. The "lomo saltado" was excellent and I highly recommend it. The "arroz chaufa" (Peruvian fried rice) was average. Make sure to ask for Maria; she knows how to make your visit enjoyable!
The Naroz con marisco was for dying! The aroma was as amazing and apart from this world as the taste. Definitely a court for two! The Chicha morada was a large alcohol-free drink with a light cinnamon taste?
This little corner as the name is literally translated to english is a great family run business. I have to express how pleasant the waitresses are.The food is so fresh. It 's reassuring to see people that work there eat want is being served. They have fresh soup of the day. The portions size are filling and depending how big you eat 2 people can eat out of one plate. You will not be let down with how fresh the food is . Please try there home made drink it 's a purple corn base drink it 's not to sweet. I didn 't give a five star rating only because I didn 't have the ceviche . But it kept being order so I can assume its good and safe to eat. They are in total compliance with covid-19 protocol they have limited sitting, sanitizing stations, must have masks on when not eating and walking to the bathroom. You can call ahead and order for pick up or you can dine-in but must wait outside.
