The Chop House - Hico

We traveled to Hico today to walk around and have a nice day with friends we stumbled on The Chop House. Walking in at 2pm we were presented with the lunch menu and even though it all sounded pretty good there was no steak offerings on it. We asked ifthey had a dinner menu and if it was too early to order from it and the waitress was extremely accommodating. My wife and I hadthe Filet with gratin potatoes and our friend had the Ribeye. The steaks were not only cook to perfection but all had abeautiful crust on them. We all three have eaten at very high end restaurants and steak houses before and these were theabsolute best steaks we have ever had! I highly recommend visiting The Chop House if you are anywhere even close to Hico Texasbut no matter how far away you are it is definitely worth the drive!

The Chop House is a place my husband and I go frequently! They have amazing food, the drinks are so cool and creative, and the service is absolutely the best. Every time I we got in there it is! Also the staff is all so professional and that’s so hardto come by these days! I love the pimento cheese croquettes there for the appetizer! Those are my fav! I have had everythingon the menu (can you tell we like that place! and I haven’t disliked anything. Everything is unique and quality. There a galthat is the bartender with these cute little braids and she is a rockstar at making drinks and taking the best care of us everytime we go in there. Go check out the Chop House in HiCo, TX if you haven’t already! It’s a pretty awesome experience!

Hico is a small town, so I was pleasantly surprised how awesome the menu is in the Chop House. the fried chicken was amazing!

A great experience, the staff is always smiling and friendly, food is remarkable drinks are always spot on. Highly recommend for date nights!

Wow! Great restaurant and HOTEL! The hotel rooms were excellent, well furnished and the bed was very comfortable. The restaurant was great, as was the bar. I had the lamb shank and my wife had the shrimp grits-enjoyed them both. The bartenders were very good. My wife’s margaritas were just right and I had the best Old Fashion ever! The atmosphere was all Texas! Parking is available in front and besides the hotel. Located in a revived downtown Hico with shopping for the ladies and a gun store and cigar shop for the men-right outside the hotel. We’ll be back!
