We had coffee there this morning and then we just wandered around it for 30mins looking at the architecture from ground and first floor level. It's well worth a visit if you're ever in Buxton and it's not too far out of the town centre and is an easy walk
I got taken to the spa for my works do, me and my colleague booked in for a full body exfoliation and massage. We are massage therapist ourselves and we couldn't fault it! Absolutely amazing day, really enjoyed and felt so relaxed leaving.
I booked 2 full spa days for myself and my mother-in-law for her birthday. The spa is amazing and the treatments was just perfect, we wanted to be massaged all day. I booked the spa day at £115 each which included lunch. I have to say for the price we paid the food really wasn't very nice. There was 6 jam jars that had chick peas, cous cous, aubergine in some kind of tomato sauce, a pitta bread cut into fingers, houmous and some sort of spicy chicken, also had a slightly larger jar of perfiteroles, (we honestly thought this could be the starter). We did tell one of the girls and she did bring us some sandwiches which was very good of her. The whole day was perfect, just the food that let it down.
6 of us booked for treatments on our way to a girlie weekend. The staff were all wonderfully friendly and helpful and each one of us enjoyed our treatments and came out wanting more and feeling totally relaxed. The facilities are clean and there is plenty to relax and do. My only issue was the changing room was rather small and when 6 of us were all trying to get changed along with a couple of other guests it was a bit of a squeeze. There was also only one toilet. However if I am in the area again I would definitely consider a visit.
Almost didn't write this as it must be one of Buxton's best kept secrets! Went with a friend, lovely spa area, clean and superbly maintained and everything in a small area, which means it's never over busy as they limit numbers (to like a handful, seriously). Had an hour Swedish massage and was absolutely fab, really thorough, no skimping on time etc Already planning return for another escape day with Buxton's fab restaurants, theatre and landscape it's a must
