Sumela: Turkish And Mediterranean

This was an excellent meal! Amazing, flavorful menu. Pita and grape leaves were particularly exceptional. Service was a bit slow and food took longer than expected to come out, but well worth the wait.

Great place! We planned ahead with the nice owner and hosted a bridal luncheon at Sumela’s. They were very accommodating and had a table for 14 ready for us and appetizer trays ready to roll out as requested. It has a very nice interior and easy parking. All the dishes served were nice quantities and I didn’t see any food leftover so everything was yummy. I had the shrimp kabob entree and I noticed that both the shrimp kabob and lamb kabob plates came with 2 very full all meat skewers. The good menu variety and great flavors had a couple of us going back the next day with our husbands! Thank you to Sumela’s for a successful event!

I have never had any issues with the food at this restaurant before, but my recent experience with the Shrimp Kabab meal was disappointing. The pita bread was overcooked and tough, and I even had to ask for my cucumber and dill sauce. When you're spending $17 on a meal, you expect to be satisfied. Unfortunately, I will not be returning to this restaurant.

We were riding around High Point looking for something unique and delicious to try. Well Sumela is definitely the place! I was impressed with the reviews and the food selection and then you top that with outstanding service you have the perfect dining experience! I will definitely return and I can't wait to try some other unique dishes here. You can't go wrong here. The portions are large and the prices are reasonable. Great job Sumela!!

Food was pretty good! Meat is a little on the tuff side but very flavorful. Love the Baklava. Love the hummus!! Staff was very nice, could tell they have regulars that love the place and they treat them with care. The place feels pretty outdated in it's atmosphere. The old box tvs promoting what I believe was a history channel or travel channel was more noise pollution than entertainment.
