Cafe V8 - Highland

Having been a regular customer at Cafe V8 I was hoping for better today. The counter assistant was too engrossed in her conversation with a friend and drinking a can of juice to realise that I and another customer were waiting to be served. The lady ahead of me gave up and left. I persevered thinking , 'Oh well I 've waited this long..... ' but when I was eventually asked what I was waiting for and explained that I hadn 't yet been served, I was still ignored. Seemed pointless waiting after that. It would take a lot to persuade me to go back.

Ordered a mega box at 9:20, took longer than 2 hours to arrive. Tried phoning the restaurant to find out why it was taking so long, only to be hung up on before anyone answered.

I’ve been to what should have been a 3-star Michelin restaurant located at a truck stop. A+ cuisine where the locals of Inverness eat. Prices were very reasonable and the chow came out hot fresh! Extra tasty! The service was very nice.

Absolutely excellent food. Tasty and well cooked, plenty of choice on the menu. Note: a hot curry is a real hot curry just as it should be. Well recommended.

Sadly waited over 45 minutes to get our meals (baked potato and a Tuna salad) other diners sat after us were getting their food before us eating and leaving by the time we got ours, some even made comments to us hope you 're not there all day waiting when the food eventually arrived after asking where it was (without any way of an apology) it was generous portions (salad especially) however the sticky toffee pudding had no actual sauce (as you can see from the photo) on complaining one server literally shrugged and walked off, the other said he hadn 't had any other complaints but would mention it to the kitchen. I wouldn 't waste your money going here when there 's so many other places with better service. We shan 't be back.
