I tried the twice baked cheese souffle for the first time and thought it was delicious. The duo of chicken that followed was beautifully cooked, and I ended the meal with a raspberry pavlova. If we ever find ourselves in the area again, I would definitely dine here once more.
The menu was quite limited, and the dish I ordered was simple without any presentation efforts. However, the bar area was very nice and the rooms were comfortable.
I recently visited the whisky bar during a trip to the highlands. Ben was incredibly knowledgeable and helped me discover new whiskies that I had never tried before. I also had the chance to purchase whisky and gin made by the Dornoch distillery. It was a fantastic evening, thank you.
Stopped by during overnight stay at local B&B. Food was very good. Chicken breast cooked really well followed by a shared cheese board. All hit the spot and reasonably priced.
We did not stay in the hotel but we did eat lunch in the restaurant. The food and service were excellent. The Haggis bonbons as a side were very tasty and worthy of a separate mention. The plate of local langoustines as a main, although messy to eat, were exceptional. Breaded haddock and chips and a very filling beef, chorizo burger also outstanding. This place gets my recommendation for lunch in this delightful town.
