While £17 would be a fair price for a generous portion of delicious food, I felt that the portion of fish and chips I received was small and lacking in flavor, especially considering we were in a coastal area. Overall, I would rate the service a 3 out of 5, with the atmosphere also earning a 3. The price per person for a dinner meal ranged from £20-30.

My recent visit to this restaurant with friends was very disappointing. We used to be regular customers when we lived nearby, but now that we’ve moved away, we thought we would come back for the amazing food we remembered. Unfortunately, the service was slow and our plates were not cleared between the main course and dessert. Despite only a few other tables being occupied and enough staff, the service was still lacking. The carbonara was average and the cheesecake was almost frozen in the middle and lacked flavor. The menu hinted at a change in ownership, and after reading other reviews, it’s clear that this has not been a positive change for the restaurant’s reputation, quality, and service. The offer of 2 courses for £15 or £19, depending on the time, was misleading as we were not informed that it only applied to a starter and main course, resulting in a higher bill than expected. There was no explanation or apology given for the oversight. The food was okay, but not worth the price. It’s a shame because we had spoken highly of this restaurant to friends and family, but our recent experience was disappointing. Despite the good company we had, we won't be returning. It’s unfortunate as there are few places in Nairn that maintain a good standard for evening meals. Service: Dine-in Meal Type: Dinner Price Per Person: £30-40 Food: 3 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2
The restaurant offers good food at prices that are typical for the area. Like many other places in the area, the wine is a bit on the expensive side. The restaurant was always busy when I was there, but the staff did a great job and the food came out quickly. I really enjoyed the bao bun starter, it was very tasty. For my main dish, I had the seafood platter. It was a bit heavy on the batter and portion size, but the chowder was the standout dish. I would recommend this restaurant and I plan on going back again. The service was dine-in and the meal type was dinner. The price per person was between £40-50. I would give the food, service, and atmosphere a rating of 4 out of 5. I recommend trying the Fisherman's Platter.
