The Upper Deck - Highland

This is a fantastic spot for a lunch break. The fish and chips are absolutely delicious! It's the perfect stop for a meal before catching the Orkney ferry. The service is friendly and the prices are very reasonable.

Sitting upstairs overlooking the harbour on a warm sunny day, it was an ideal lunch! The menu was good and the steak sandwich was an excellent choice. Service was good and the prices were reasonable too. Recommend a visit!

We were pleasantly surprised to go upstairs to the restaurant which is situated above a lively local bar. Food, wine and service were excellent.

The steak sandwich was absolutely delicious, thanks to a fresh roll that truly made it stand out. The sauce was incredibly flavorful and made from scratch. My husband thoroughly enjoyed the fresh fish and chips, particularly the amazing batter. We also indulged in the incredible sticky toffee pudding, which was out of this world. This hidden gem offers fantastic food and exceptional service. I highly recommend trying everything on the menu!

Excellent fillet steak cooked to perfection all food very nice. Staff friendly and attentive and my dog was very welcome. I have been here several times over 20+ years and have never been disappointed.
