Creeks Kitchen - HIGHLANDS

We had been wanting to visit this place and we were not disappointed. I got the seafood gumbo and my girlfriend got the chicken fried chicken. Both portions very generous. The gumbo was very hearty and flavorful, I didnt need to add anything to it. We hope that they open the Baytown location soon!

I can not say enough about this place. Friendly, good food portions, and really delicious. I had the Oxtails, greens, cornbread dressing. It was all so good. This food is a labor of love. I had banana pudding for dessert. It was suppose to last me two days and I ate it in one sitting. I'm not ashamed to say that! LOL. I will definitely be back.

Waited 15 minutes after seating ourselves before we were asked what we would like off of the menu. Another customer who was seated as we walked in ordered the same entree as I did and was told there would be a 25 minute wait as I was. After an hour waiting, an employee came out to inform us that our food was almost ready except that my wife 's order couldn 't be made since they didn 't have any left. We decided to get up to leave. She attempted to defend the establishment by saying we told y 'all there would be a wait . Many to-go orders were made and filled as we sat there waiting. The group that came in at the same time we did had already eaten and were trying to pay for their meal. We won 't be back.

It 's safe to say I 've spent a lot of money here. I 've introduced this place to many friends who are now regulars. Going in you have to know that it will be a wait. No matter when you go. It 's never bothered me much because baytown is short on soul food places. However, today was the straw that broke the camel 's back. I will NEVER visit again nor recommend this place. We tried to call in an order because we know how the wait is. We kept being put on lengthy holds and having the phone hang up on us so we decided to just go eat there. When we get there after waiting for about 15 minutes someone asks us if we are eating there. We said yes. She took our order and never brought our drinks nor checked on us. Another lady asked if we 've been served. We say yes but that we still don 't have drinks. She brings us our drinks and after a full hour of no one checking on us a third lady comes and says they lost our ticket. We are mad but starved and ask how long would it be if we placed our order now because we 've been waiting over an hour already. She says 45 minutes! Needless to say we were not waiting another hour. They didn 't offer anything or try to do anything to fix the mistake. All we got was sorry. I will never spend another cent here.

This place is a little off the beaten path. Parking lot was muddy, as it is not paved. The food is good, but service is real slow. Sides are small, and it's overpriced.
