I got the food yesterday and I cannot stop thinking about it. I ordered it for delivery because I live far away; food came fresh and warm. This restaurant also does not skimp out on quality which I really appreciate. The Montu is absolutely exquisite. I've had I've gotten food from many restaurants, however this is my favorite. I think this may become my favorite restaurant in the Midwest.
What a hidden gem in Hilliard. Carryout only during COVID. Got the lamb pita meal. Lamb was spiced and cooked to perfection. Reasonably priced for great cuts of meat. Fries were fine, but definitely recommend getting the lamb in any dish. It's a treat to try!
It was amazing food customer service was very nice and friendly after everything I think that this is a great place to have a lunch on the go or to stay in and eat and it's COVID safe there following all rules and tables are spaced 6 feet apart 5 stars in my book.
I don't get out to Hilliard often, but a while back I was in the area and stopped here for a quick bite to eat with a friend. I had never tried Afghan food before and was excited to try something new. We started with the Bolani/Samosa and I'm so glad we did because they were delicious. Stuffed with potatoes, scallions, and cilantro, these turnovers were crispy on the outside and soft and moist on the inside. I'm also a sucker for sauces and the green dip it came with was out of this world! My friend also tried the mantu which are like Afghan style potstickers. They were stuffed with seasoned ground beef so I passed, however he absolutely enjoyed them! As for our entree, we shared the fried fish option. It came with rice, salad, and two (also amazing) sauces. The portion was really filling and the flavor certainly packed a punch. This is a female owned restaurant that's run by a family and I'm so glad to see they're still in business roughly a year after opening. That's always the hardest time, and with the pandemic going, it's great to see them providing takeout and delivery. Whenever I'm back in the neighborhood with a rumbling in my tummy, I won't hesitate to stop in again.
I was in the area and I found this restaurant off a Google search and the pictures of the food convinced me to make a stop. It's a small clean restaurant in a small plaza off the main road (easy to pass they are only doing takeout for now. Menu was pretty simple and easy to understand, I end up ordering the tikka kebab with the garden salad and rice. I couldn't wait to get home and eat, I sit in my car and ate. The food was fresh and the temperature was hot. The chicken was tender, juicy and flavorful, the best I've ever tasted, the Garden salad was fresh, the spring mix did not taste stale or watered down. My meal came with two sauces a white and green sauce which I didn't like but the white sauce probably a cucumber sauce which was amazing I needed more of it : I'm not sure of the women name at the front counter, she is the most sweetest woman ever, her whole demeanor was great and she gave me two additional sauces at no additional charge. I will be back to try their lamb chops and chickpea dishes.
